So I recently ordered all the parts to change out my left hand warmer on my 2010 nytro. I drilled out the two rivets and cut the grip off then took the heating element off.

I hope this is where I didn't go wrong.... I cleaned off all the "felt" down to the metal handlebar. I can't remember if that stuff is insulation but I took an utility knife and scraped it down to the metal. It was the only way I seen to get the element off.

So now I have all the parts ready to go on. I'm assuming the heating element sticks right to the handlebar and then I hear you glue the grip on over the element with some grip glue, correct? Put the rivets in and mission accomplished right?

Are you connecting the wires up to the original Yamaha handlebar switches?

Update: Install went good. Easier than I had thought. Installing the yamaheater was really easy and wow what a difference that makes for heat!
