so my track is shot after 21000 km,decided to look for a used track cuz i wont keep the sled for more than an other season, called bent toys and they had one,the guy told me it was a stock 07 track with only 1000 miles, got it last week but its a 1'' ripsaw intead of a hacksaw,is the ripsaw a better track than the original, just wondering

The Hacksaw has what appears to be more of a curved 'finger' design on the outer lugs, where the Ripsaw is more of a straight-lug design. These curved edges are supposed to provide more side-to-side stability of the back end on hardpack, and the Hacksaw is usually listed as a 'Ripsaw Derivative' by Camoplast.

Perhaps someone who has ridden the Phazer with the Ripsaw and the Hacksaw (Phazer GT) could give their opinion as to whether they noticed the difference. I've ridden plenty of Ripsaws, but they've been on other machines, so it's impossible to compare for me.

The Hacksaw also has a recess in the top of each lug. I think that's suppose to give more bite on hard pack.

Would that be the reasoning behind why the 2007 FX had the Ripsaw stock and the GT had the Hacksaw stock?

They were so similar, it's hard to imagine that one would notice much difference.
