So my wife is away for tonight and tomorrow, so I got a beer went to my garage and said, hmmmmmmmmm there has got to be a cheap way to make the exhaust sound good, without spending $500 + on a system. So I took some measurements and sat down on my computer and an hour later after searching Thrush, Flowmaster, Dynomax and Borla. I found thrush made a can about the same size. So I hopped in the truck and headed to town after going behind the counter and searching through every muffler I came across two both under $40.
This is Sound Fit. I like the sound much better then the Thrush, but it will need a hammer on the one side to fit the exhaust shroud over it, doable but not drop in.
This is the Thrush. Its drop in, but the outlet is in the center and doesnt have the smooth sound that I am looking for ( I like the Yosh sound ).

F^ck the neighbors!! LOL, just kiddin'
I had an '08 FX Nytro, and if it wasn't for me realizing I'm getting old (35) and it just didn't fit my riding style anymore, I'd still have it.
With the right muffler, the 3 cyls sound really good. And.... as far as I'm concerned, the companys offering "performance" mufflers fro $300-500 is BS!!!!
You have found the right answer my friend.

Thats exactly what I thought especially after I saw what was basically a cheap import can from ebay for $20 with a couple welds going for $600.
Thats what got me thinkin, there had to be a cheap but good sounding alternative.

I still love to get out and ditch bang & ride like a moron occasionally, just not all the time. That's why almost every winter I buy a cheap 440-600 of some sort, just to pound on for awhile, and then put away. Then on towards the 1st of March, I sell it. It helps me get the wild hair outa my A$$, then I'm back to normal.
The people I usually ride with put on 150+ miles a day & the Nytro just wasn't cutting it for me for that type of riding. The Apex & Vector is much more my style.

bdb...you don't need to hammer anything to get that to fit...just cut a 1/4"-1/2" of the inlet..it should draw the muffler back that much, which by the looks of it is all you need.
theCATman...you may see $300-500 as being BS...but alot of R&D goes into those mufflers so that the consumer knows what they are getting when they bolt them on..that being HP/TQ gains, quality craftsmanship, weight reduction and ready to bolt on...remember, you get what you pay for.

I gotta argue with (bold) I refrainded this morning and didnt post a comparison, because I didnt want to start a whining match. But since you called BS first Ill post it. Sorry but when you say R&D your talking about guys after work saying hey I saw this on the internet I bet we could put this part and that part together and create this product and mark it up.
These guys are selling there dual exhaust for $699
When in reality there buying each can off ebay for less then $40 running down the autozone and purchasing a 2" Y pipe a 4" long piece of 2" pipe and a 2" elbow. Then welding the two cans together and turning around and marking it up 600%
Here is a pic of the ebay can.... do you see an uncanny resemblance? Granted the TIP isnt burnt the same, but its just a tip.
