Cheap Ice Scratchers

I made some ice scratchers from some old truck tailgate cables and a heavy crimp 10" long total. Used a bolt for the scratcher but may change it to a old stud for more durability. Put a long bolt and 2 nuts for mounting at the sway bar for easy on/off. I'll post results as soon as it snows. Cheap and easy to make!

I run them all the the time and they work quite well. You will find that you may need to make a tab where they fasten to the stabilizer linkage to keep them pointed down. I could not stop them from moving no matter how tight I had them. Also found the tailgate cable too soft, min. size 1/4" or they will beat the crap out of the bottom of the sled and skis if they can reach them.
