So in my hurry to unload my sled and start riding this weekend I failed to remember that the parking brake was still engaged from trailering the sled. I backed it out of the trailer and rode it to the front of the truck before I started to realize something was up and the sled had a harder time going forward. A check engine light then flashed on and I immediately shut the sled off, but then realized that I left the darn parking brake on. After firing the sled back up and removing the parking brake the light was gone and never came back on. Wondering if accidentally ridging the sled with the brake on could trigger a check engine light? It seemed fine the rest of the weekend despite the -21 degree temps.

Did you by chance see what code the check engine light threw? My guess is that it was related to the parking brake if it never came on the rest of the day. I've made the same mistake as well, but my sled has never thrown a CEL because of it though.

The parking brake is not monitored by the computer but it's possibly over temp notification due to the engine working harder.

Yellow light?

I didn't see a code number unfortunately. The ! point light came on and there was the engine symbol showing on the digital display. Is there a way to go back in and check code history? I rode about 200 miles this weekend after the light came and went and never saw it again. I'm also guessing that the -21 degree temp without wind chill also could have caused something to trip after the sled sat in the trailer all night.

After reading through some of the trouble codes I saw that a malfunctioning hand warmer can trigger this. I did notice on Saturday that my right side hand warmer was not working.

To check the code I noticed you had to unplug the fuel pump harness before holding the select and reset buttons down to bring up the diagnostics screen. To get to this harness I'm assuming you need to remove the seat and plastic around the tank which is a pain in the butt with those stupid push pins. I may just fix the hand warmer and watch to see if the light ever comes on again. Sled ran great this weekend so I'm assuming all is good with the exception of the warmer.

Where is the plug at for the fuel pump without removing everything? The only wire harnesses that I was aware of are the ones under the plastic that I saw when removing the tank to change the donut gaskets?

Add some red or yellow paint to the bottom side of the E-brake lever ;)
To unhook the fuel pump connection @ the tank just take the seat off, it's right there with 1 clip.

I don't think you have to unplug the fuel pump. Here is what I found and use:

Hold the "Select" and "Reset" buttons down and turn the key on. Hold them down for 8 seconds or until "diag" comes up. Then release them. Then hold them down together again for 3 seconds until the screens changes again and displays the bottom number for your TPS. Hit "select" to scroll through the diagnostic numbers until you get to number 61. 61 will tell you what codes have been thrown. Go to code 62. This will tell you how many codes were thrown. On 62 push your hand warmer toggle switch down. This will clear the codes. You should see 0 at code 62 and if you go back to code 61 you should see no codes.
