I've never really paid much attention to Hyfax wear on my sled and have just always changed them out every year before winter (anywhere from 800 - 1600 miles). Since I did so much work to my sled before this winter, I checked everything over really good yesterday after my first ride on Wednesday. It sure seems like the hyfax wore down more than they should. What does everyone think? Did they just get to that "spot" where they stop wearing? The snow was marginal for the 70 mile ride that I took, but not too bad. I am running a predator track (2nd season with this track) and put about 1,000 miles on last year and the hyfax were ok.

Ya there perfect, just dont look now for another 2000 miles you will be fine, plus faster than your bud unless he did not change his out too.

Looks right to me for 70 miles in low snow.

They might wear a snick more and then they will stop for thousands of miles.

I have never changed slides on a Yammie yet. I have gone over 15,000 km on one pair. I do not ride on dirt or snirt though.

As Pete said above, they should be fast too as you obviously heated them up pretty good.

:yam:
