At any rate, I installed a set of HyPerfax Teflon slides and after 500 miles, I cannot see ANY WEAR. No binding, no plastic smell early in AM, in short - Problem solved!!

Spendy but awesome those teflon insert faxes are.

If heat is your issue, these are the cure! Can make your sled faster too.

But in low snow conditions snirt can eat them also

My HyPerfax Teflon slides were gone at about 400 miles, but thats Midwest riding with dirty trails. The Teflon was gone in many spots on the slides so I changed them out yesterday with stock slides.

just wondering...do you guys change your slides prematurely?...they will wear to line pretty fast in most cases then stop there ....i didnt need to change mine from last season(1000 miles) but they were at line and I had skid out anyways,so changed them....

this year Im running THIN slides, open track is same...running it looser now(1 inch free hang warm track)...i also drilled out slides this season....and added MID WHEEL kit(fix powersports)....and so far at near 300 miles in perfect snow condtions with some roads, they havent even worn at all!...really amazes me.

I swear the drilling out of slides works....I did this many many yrs when replacing slides...I didnt do it last season as sled was new and you need to drill them right thru, with slides OFF.

this keeps slides COOLER and also holds snow, and lets snow come in contact with aluminum rails to cool the rail down more too...

just an idea that IMO is worth it,and free.
