LeeKo said:MRSLED. Do you feel the rear traction brackets add any rigidity in the running boards? I am thinking of ways to eliminate some of the running board flex in the rear section of my running boards on my xtx. Are the silver ones natural aluminum or are they painted silver? Thanks.
Yes they really help flex on the back corners.
Tom you have PowerMadd optional mirrors on the vector mount to the nytro hand guards. Do they stay tight and how much vibration when your riding. Also what do you have on the nytro for mirrors and how are they mounted. Which set up is better? Thanks

They vibrate when still and rattle a bit , but on the trail they work really well. I have them on 2 other sleds and they stay fairly snug with little problems.
The Nytro Mirrors are actually a Yamaha Acc that mounts to the Nytro Hand Guard, they work well but sit high and are kinda gaughty.

Ok thanks I will go with the powermadds on the hand guards then, just drill one hole for mounting? Any placement directions?

I place them based on being able to see behind
You can look at the pics to get an idea on how to position and rotate them before tightening.

Ok thanks Tom. I ordered some and will give it a go.

Is that windshield different from stock? I have a 2006 Attak with stocker and handwarmer/handlebar update and hands can still get cold during the lower temps.

Mr. Sled (Air Box Cover)
Hey Mr. Sled, when you painted your air box cover on your vector what procedures did you use to make sure the paint would hold. Did you also use a clear coat on it. Besides using yamaha silver was there another source available in a spray can at one of the local auto stores. If you know where I can also buy the yamaha blue in a spray can that also would be great
.
Thank's
Rich

Re: Mr. Sled (Air Box Cover)
Thats was a aftermarket slip cover from Yamaha. Not even sure if they have them any more in the accessory catalog.
