my dealer is putting the low elevation clutch kit in my nytro for free... he told me I could ride it the way it was but I would bounce off the rev limiter more than likely. That being said I don't know what that all includes, if it is just the weight rivets or if that is a different spring as well?

Your dealer is paying for those parts from what I was told, and everything included in the sea level kit is listed in my first reply above ^^^

From the way he was talking it was just the rivets that they change and it should only take about hour tops.... Is that going to hurt my machines performance?

Well, you better tell him to check again. Low elevation kit requires new primary spring, weight rivets, new 70 link chain, and new 22T top gear. I have the removed spare parts in a box.

I had to pay for the parts on mine. I wasnt charged full price by any means tho....

Well I dropped off my sled today and I asked the parts guy what was all in the kit that came and he said it was just rivets and a spring...

What year/model sled do you have, and what top gear is in it now ?

2009 nytro MTX 153... other than that I have to pull out the book to find out the rest of the info for the gearing... if the manual will even have that in there...

You have 20/40 gearing, so you can get away with just the spring and rivets.

So what is going to happen? Less off the line and more top end or the other way? Sorry I am still learning the whole snowmobile gearing/clutching stuff....

And the book doesn't say anything about what gear it has but it does say
NOTICE: The drive chain gears and V-belt clutch should be adjusted when operating above a high altitude of 900 m (3000 ft). Consult a Yamaha dealer.
