Did the dealer pay the ticket? LMAOAgman 57 said:I sued to place mine on the bottom of the windshield, but now I put it right under the headlight, facing straight up. That way if I change or break a windshield it is not stuck on them. I had a cousin that got a ticket outside of Seney last year for having his sticker on the tunnel also. It was where his Mi dealer placed it on the sled for him when he bought the sled in Munising that year.

As tuff as it was to drill holes in my new sled side panels, these have worked great and look good on my sled. G.B.

I've had good results cleaning the plastic with rubbing alcohol (I now use the prep cleaner that came with my ArcticFX decals). I then remove the panels and apply the registration stickers inside of my house when both the stickers and panels are at room temperature, and then I heat up the stickers with a hair dryer to activate the glue. This has worked well with all of my sleds with textured plastic side panels. I just replaced my old registration stickers last week and they were stuck on the panels nicely.
This what I have done for several years and have never lost a decal yet. My brother was warned twice for having stickers on the tunnel but not given a ticket. In Michigan you better have your ducks in a row because the trail police are only interested in revenue. We all want safe trails but sitting at intersections instead of looking for trail hazards such as fallen trees is not proactive.

Complete bs. As long as they are visible anywhere should be ok...

my friggin state has more legislators than snowmobilers. they pased a law to have 3"block stickers for a total of 7 digits on both sides of the hood. not even provided, like another $40. snowmobilers are freaking out to get it repealed. I plan to put my stickers on the front fenders of one of the legislators cadilac SUV. of course sanding first to assure a good adhesion

I've given up completely on where to put my registration stickers. I put them right on the hood, right on top, as easy to see as possible.
Yeah they look stupid up there, but the dumb DNR officers and dirty cops see them easily and leave me alone.

Geez... I've lost more stickers and been stopped so many times because of it... Never gotten a ticket though. One time they chased me down while I was on a WOT run down a lake. When they caught up to me and I saw them I stopped and they asked me how fast I was going. I was able to maintain a straight face and said 55. They just laughed - but I didn't get a ticket...
This season I made some plates the same size as the stickers out of alum. roof flashing. Only took a few minutes. Fastened those to the sides right where Nick has his with 3M contact cement and a tiny screw in each corner. The nice thing about keeping them down low is you don't have to look at those whacked colors they use unless standing way back from it. The disadvantage is obvious...

I've thoroughly cleaned the pebble-grained side panels and attached the registration stickers there along with warming the plastic with a hairdryer and then the sticker too. Rub over it several times while still warm, to where the sticker itself seems to take on the pebble grain look, and I've yet to lose one in 15 or so years.........and across numerous sleds. That includes quite a bit of off-trail "adventures". YMMV!
