Child Safety Grip

I run a mountain strap ( powermadd as its flat where they hang on to ) , both my girls have about 1500 -2000 miles in front hanging onto the strap . If you stop to quick , hit a big bump their chins / helmet bump their mittened hands . They also feel the steering or counter steering your doing , thus teaching them . Yes it does teach them , both drive very well and they have done the counter steer on side slopes while turning and I never told them about what to do , they just picked it up while riding with me . Don't know where else they picked it up as they haven't driven anything else . My buddy's kids were the same way .

If I want to go my kid has to come too, thought it would give them something to hang on to. Besides looks, any reason why you wouldn't use it?

Sorry for my smart #*$&@ humor. I grew up riding in front of my dad and brother, some of my best memories as a young boy. I am sure your a safe rider with the lil one. Private property Prob isn't an issue but marked trails and local snowmobile clubs might have a different POV in today's world.

Broke my grandsons nose having him ride in-front of me. Were riding on a trail to go ice fishing, hit a bump and he whacked it in the bars.

broke his nose? didn't they have a full face helmet? i wouldn't place a kid in front of me without a full face helmet just in case that happened. When my kids where in front of me they had a full face helmet on, hands on the centre of the steering to keep there balance, there feet inside the toe holds/stir-ups with my feet pushed up against theirs, my thighs holding them in, never a problem. how the heck does the kid hold on when they fall asleep when they're on the back? plus it's a lot colder there as well. most kids are bored to death sitting on the back because they can't see anything. Once they got to tall that there helmet was hitting mine and i couldn't see well around them then they went to the back. by then they could hold on by themselves

When my kids rode in front of me on my motorcycle or my sled they had an open face helmet. Wait so did I!

I know what was I thinking. I grew up riding sleds with out a helmet, rode my bike without one, drank from the garden hose, I could go on here but I guess I'm just irresponsible.

I used to have one of those but they didn't work as well as I had hoped. The kids hands are too low to help stabilize their upper body and head could bob into the bars. Thankfully they have full face helmets. I ended up having them place one hand on the bar pad and the other on the left grip and that seemed to work better. I sold the gas cap handle on kijiji.

Stood in the back seat at 60 mph, knocked on strangers doors to ask for a drink of water, the list is a long one, Yep irresponsible! Still take my Motorcycle for a ride without a helmet but not my sled to cold! Maybe I'm wrong but did we somehow take protection and turn it into overprotection times ten!

Over protection x100 !

What Sevey said^^^^. Kids are not able to hold there balance so they need the full face so they don't hit the handle bars, that's what I was getting at . Nothing to do about over protection just common sense. There is a difference.not to mention when trail riding a full face is a lot warmer.
