No, not a new sled. I owe my bud a favor for working on my rideing lawn mower. He wouldn't take any money so i thought i'd buy him something for his 08 Vector for Christmas. He has a Polaris tank bag that seems to fit and work ok(his first Yamaha) so i was looking at the Vec windshield bag. It looks like the size of a banana in the Yamaha accesories page. Is it really that small? Anyone have one? Any other ideas for the $40.00 to $60.00 range? Thanks, Mike.

I have one but I couldn't tell you if it is a Yamaha one or not?
It is a lot bigger that a banana though and sticks to the inside of the winshield with velcro.

I also have a handle bar bag/pouch which is another option for you or even a Yamaha gift certificate might not be a bad idea in case he doesn't want or need the winshield bag?

Good on you for doing this ;)!

I have the Yami windshield bag for my 05 Vector. I personally think it has a nice amount of room for a w'shield bag. You'd have to see if the P/N is the same for an 08 as it was for an 05.

Don't know how much these ideas would cost:

Skid plate

Shock covers

Custom snow flap

Various Yami billet accessories (if he's into the bling this)

Very nice of you to do this....a TRUE friend! ;)!

The 2005 windshield bag looks the same, but has a little different part number, probably for the higher price, lol.
Anyone have any pictures of one on the sled? Do they fit with most Vec windshields?
Thanks, Mike.

The windshield bags on the Yami site do show a certain p/n for RS/RX chassis and a different one for 08-09 Vectors and Apex's.

I have never tried to put mine (05) on an 08 or newer Vector....wish I could though!!!! #$%&*

Made up everyone small atv/snomo jumper cables at work already. That's the kind of thing i'm looking for though.
