I asked about my clock problem a couple years ago, and didn't get an answer. Now that 2 years passed, maybe someone has had the same problem, and can give me some information, as to the cause.
When I turn on my sled the time goes to 1:00 then advances from there. When I turn it off, then on, it goes to 1:00 again.
I could start every ride at 1:00 to solve the problem. LOL

No idea... Does your trip and odometer still work then? I would assume there is some kind of battery or something inside the gauge cluster. Maybe you have a faulty battery or loose connection inside the gauge cluster. Thats all I can think of if your odometer and trip settings are still working.

Mine does the same things, resets to 1:00 every start. everything else works fine. Anybody know how to fix this?

Just a guess, but betting there's a watch battery that's SUPPOSED to power that clock when the sled is shut off. Without it, it's going to do what you describe. Just like a computer with a dead CMOS battery that asks for the time/date every time you power it up....

Sound like a pretty darn good guess. That is what I would look for, as well. Especially since someone else (TeamBlue) is having the exact same issue. Good call!

I always thought that the memory ran off the sled battery. I will take it apart tonight to see whats inside.

If it's anything like a car, there is a memory back-up fuse that powers the clock memory. In a car, these are not installed until the Pre-Delivery is done so as not to run the battery down. No idea if our sleds have one but would make sense to me...I think the watch battery thing would only power the Odometer as it would take too much power to keep a clock memory, besides everytime we dis-connect the battery, clock re-sets to 1:00 so must have a back-up power source from the sled...

I would guess you are not keeping constant power to it like a car stereo you have key power and constant power the constant is for memory and the key is for when it is in use. prob a fuse or a bad wire. may need to check a working unit to see what wire is constant power.

If what you are thinking were true, the clock would reset every time the battery was disconnected. That's not the case...

My bad. I should have said that SHOULDN'T be the case. The clock should not reset when the battery is disconnected.

In my owners manual it says that the clock needs to be reset every time the battery is disconnected.

which leads me to believe the wire the is supose to give constant power is not giving constant power only key switch power
