My 7 year old Gap Flasher blue tooth packed in and I am waiting for my new one.
My sled seems to be running rich as gas mileage has dropped and side panel is getting black soot.
AFRS displayed look good but I suspect the O2 sensor is inaccurate.
Can I select the close loop off on my flasher when I have one that works again?
I never tried it before.

You can shut it off Bob, however with your sled that runs lean with all your power producers, I wouldn't do that. I suspect that because you are jacking up your fuel pressure that its running rich down low and when the closed loop is actually off-line and not adjusting at lower speeds. Mine does the same when fuel pressure is upped on warmer days. With the fuel pressure increased like we are doing, closed loop can't take enough fuel out of it and it goes very rich at times... You'd see this in your logs if you had the flasher. I'm guessing you are running in some warmer weather. I'd take your fuel pressure down to stock or close to it when warmer out. It does not need the added fuel pressure if not cold or a good air day.
