does anyone else have or heard a noise coming from front of track(drive axle or speedo axle) gear box I'm not sure where its coming from but its in the drive.
it only happends when i come to a complete stop and then give it enough gas for the clutch to engage and move forward again. If i'm really careful with the throttle i can get it to not do it. Its a "Clunk" sound. My disk brake has a little slop in it on the shaft??? I have my chain in the gear box adjusted as per the manual. My bearings are all good.
Any Ideas or anyone with similar situation?
Thanks

It's a normal condition. It's play in the chain case where the reverse gears connect to each other. You can mimic the condition by grabbing the secondary pulley and moving it from left to right.

Sounds like your transfer rod; this is a normal condition, as you start to move, the transfer rod moves back until it hit the stop, causing the noise.

Transfer rod bangs when you travel over tall bumps at a slow speeds. What he is reffering to is the slack in the chain case/gear box. If you ever had your chaincase apart you would know what causes the problem.

He should make sure that the chain tentioner is adjusted "finger tight" per your manual- that could cause that noise as well. I have found many overlook the fact that you need to check this a couple times a season or more depending on how/how much you ride.

Definatly coming from the chain case. Thanks Iceman57 for the link to same topic. (I need to do better searchs) I will be taking chain case apart at end of season so i can get a better idea of what is happening in there but the comments from other post that you pointed me to have set my mind at ease. Cranking secondary clutch clockwise and counter clockwise i can hear it in the chain case.
First sled with reveres.
Thanks again for all your suggestions.
