I have no idea what a R-4 kit is. Who sells the kit? What type of weights and springs does it consist of? I think we could set you up on here very nicely as well if you'd like.
You can find great setups for heavy hitters, heel clickers, heel clicker hammer times, ect. Best of luck. PB

The R 4 is a Fix Power Sports kit, I had my motor and clutch done. I tore the motor out and sent the clutch and motor to him. I had talked to another guy from canada jon another message board and he was not wrong when he told me it was a screamer. The guy really knows his stuff, I can only say I have no regrets and he has been there for any questions or concerns. Excellent to do business with!

that may be true, but your not having the work done for you. I believe he is looking at having the clutch work all done for him.

Clutch work
Changing weights & springs is very easy and less than an hour. This kit must include new gears, a chain , a helix, 2 springs and weights and the labor to install. Then you could be close to $700. I think i would want to see it perform in another sled before I bought it.

I suggest that you talk to Matt at the speedshop. I purchased a stage 2 kit from him and I have absolutely no complaints. I did everything that I want this machine to do. When I ride a stock RX1 it feels very boring. Just my 2 cents.

Black 1000,
Just out of curiosity, where did you set your secondary?
(I ask because I followed their directions for 90 degrees [3 & 6] and it feels AWFULLY tight to me. Can't even compress the secondary with my hands, which could be a bitc* trying to change a belt, eh?)

Ya its tight. It will be a nightmare to change a belt. The belt squeeze is strong and the acceleration is awsome.

I don't know? It's like getting a Banks kit for your truck that makes a lot of power. You can pretty much duplicate the results yourself for a whole lot less money.
I'm with Black 1000. Get a set of heavy hitters maybe the stage 2 kit from Mat. You'll be amazed at the results for less than 1/2 of what the other kit costs.
If there are gear changes with the Fix kit you'd have to do it yourself unless you had the kit done at your dealer. Pulling the motor and sending it sounds like a real pain too.
If you buy the kit and don't have the know how I'd be happy to install it in your clutches and send it back. Better yet, find one of these guys who live close to you and have them help you out.
It may be the best kit in the world but I just haven't heard of too many in use. Best of luck. PB

Guys, belt changes are quite easy with the 90 degree setting. This helix and spring combo can be installed by 1 person on the bench or on the sled. You think 90 is high, I used to run 120 on the SRX  ...BBY
