Been wondering If I am going to have to upgrade my clutch on My apex with a supercharger or is the Stock one enough?????? I personally think alot of the problems with the clutches on the big bore 2 strokes Is the harmonics and not the desighn of the clutch, I dont think there is going to be the problems with a high HP 4 stroke... Any Input would be great.

doubt it, ran my stock clutch (different ramps)all winter running the turbo around 13 lbs and no problems what so ever. Never blew a belt either. Everybody I know that has a turbo is running a stock yammi clutch.

Just make sure your clutch is in good condition with no cracks on the bottom of each side .This is a new clutch so you will be fine.
Ask CM, he has close to 10,000kms on his boosted RX1. He ran stock clutching. Different power levels, always going up.

I had figured that the stock clutch would be ok. My last few sleds where Mtn sled with 1000 cc and bigger twins, these where hard on clutch parts.. Thanks...

Not only was Climbmax running stock clutches, he had never rebuilt any of them either. No rollers, bushings etc. He was trying to see how long they could go before they needed attention. As for me, the same story. Over 5000 km and everything looks good. As for belts, 1st one changed at 2700km just cuz, and second one lasted till 5011 km. Not bad huh?

Just make sure you run more weight in the front and not too much Helix. Spin the belt in the rear clutch one time with a turbo and you will groove it. Ruined 2 clutches last year.
