2014 Viper MPI turbo, taller gearing, Ulmer clutch and tuning.
My setup: 2014 Yamaha viper Ltx se 137, MPI gen 2 kit with EABC, I believe 4.5 lbs boost at sea level - no guage. The primary clutch has 50YS super tip weights with 8 in the tip, 8 in the middle and 1 in the base. Supposedly set up by Allen Ulmer. It has a single pink dot on the primary. The secondary has ulmer machining option number 3 and runs an 8dn belt with a red spring wrapped 6-1. The gearing has been changed to 21/41. Helix is branded with a K.

The issue: engagement is too low at 2500ish rpm. Pulls awesome through the trails and is really snappy like a dirt bike I love that. If I pin the throttle at low speed the rpms jumps and hits rev limiter a few times and steps down to just below 9100 and pulls hard until 80 then it will fluctuate the rpms and touch rev limiter on and off until I max out at 97mph. I would really like my sled to sit at 8800-8900 the min I pin the throttle and my top speed to be around 105-110. Please help all shops iv been too have been no help.

Call Alien or e mail him. He is always very helpful.

How many miles? I put 7 gm tungsten and 2 washers on heel, middle empty and 4 in the tip. It will pull hard for you on takeoff. I also have 200+ studs.

I guess that’s the plan I didn’t want to bother him he’s so busy
