Currently running my turbo viper helix at 6-1. I hit the rev limiter from hole shot. Being told to put back at 3-1. What will this do? Will I also lose top end rpm? If yes , approx how much?

no need for a 3-1 wrap on a turbo sled I run that much on a n/a nitro...what spring color do you have in the secondary? try a 3-3
Yup answered this on the Viper side 3-3 will drop you 200 rpms

Control RPMs in the primary.
Softer initial primary spring or adjustable clutch weights.
A multiangle helix lie 49-41 would work keeping the RPMs Down off the line.
