My rollers seem tight when the sled is not running, however at idle and speeds less than 40mph my clutch seems to have a rattle. My friend has the same model sled and it does the exact same thing. Other that that the sled runs solid!
Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Do a search for clutch rattle in the rs section and you find all sort of information pertaining to this issue. Here's one to get you started.

Welcome to the 120 clutch rattle club!! Mine does it as well.
Thanks for the Welcome Rik!!....Well I guess I'll be okay with it as long as I'm not chewing up roller bushing like the older clutches did.

Yamaha has a Service Bulletin on this. The remedy is to install Anti Rattle Kit 8es slider-kt-00. It may be a short lived fix but should help for a couple of years. If you don't have the tools and ability to take apart the primary clutch and have to hire it done, it may not be worth it. Did it myself and was happy with the results.

Tell your dealer to look up: Technical Bulletin S2005-007 . This covers the Slider Kit.pistons said:Yamaha has a Service Bulletin on this. The remedy is to install Anti Rattle Kit 8es slider-kt-00. I wonder if that would be covered under warranty?
I just upgraded from a 94' vmax, I don't feel like wrenching this season quite yet. Sounds like a great summer project.
