Yes its different for Sidewinders

Had mine off a few times. 108 is crazy . But I will follow directions. lol

Not sure if I would...worked on many sno-x race clutches..other brands....that would scare the crap out of me.....

Not sure how many guys have torqued something to 108 BUT that's a lot.. Also When I went to take it off after torqueing to 108 then loosening and going 45 .. after say 25 miles. It was very tight had to lean on the puller pretty good. 108 seems excessive. did 100 last night. still alot

Have heard that a couple spun on the crank set to 80 with higher HP of course. I set mine to 108 the bolt is the same size as a lug nut and they have 100-120ft lb torque specs shouldn't be an issue

That would be bad..for it to spin...but size for size that is weird........it is obvious that are trying to get you to "set" the taper...then relax the bolt...

Couple race ski doo guys had the bolt pull the thread...and replace crank end was necessary...

Best to follow the book...and keep what we do to ourselves...LOL

I checked mine at @50ft#, it didn't move.

You won't see the clutch move. It would be a micromiilimeter at worst. If you meant the wrench didn't move then crank it to 108. The wrench will move then.

My guess is either the taper is machined differently and surface finish is not as fine or they changed spec because of a size difference. Is the bolt even the same length as before? Lots of things could affect that spec. All I know is I have seen clutches come off more than once and it can really bugger things up. Primary is one bolt I always torque as soon as possible when removed. Many others I admit going by feel. Never saw one torqued come off ever. Unless it had the end of a Polaris crank in it!
