Clutching dicussion "add your own clutching topic"

HERE is my clutching question??

Do you want it to pull 10,200 from 600 feet on or more like 10,500?

I have argued this with someone else on the site who told me you should rev it higher than 10,200!!

BBY told me i want 9800 out of the hole untill 600 feet then 10,200 from there on out!!

Top end Rpms

Everybody has an opinion on this. My best top sppeds came at 10,500 to 10,600. But you want to get there gradually.

If your sled is backshifting properly you should be pulling your optimum rpm,s under load in powder. If you are pulling proper rpm,s on hardpack but losing em in powder or climbing it is a secondary tuning problem....too much helix ;not enuff torsion spring or a combination of both. As for speed runs I got my best speed in 1000' crossing the finish line at 10,300 rpm. Anything lower or higher produced a slower 1000' speed on radar.
