Looking for some advice - I have been following the talks about what you guys are doing for clutching but seems like its mostly for tuned sleds -
Here is what I have -
2017 LTX LE
8DN Belt
Stock Helix and the reverse helix (33/35 ?) when it was the hot thing.
Stock Primary Spring
Stock secondary spring (3-3)and orange TP spring (3-1)
BOP deflection adjuster.
Problems -
A lot of belt dust inside the clutch area and on the "knee" panels. Apex didn't have this much belt dust with the same belt from what I can remember.
Belt squeal on take off - The belt is not coming all the way back up on the secondary when its coming to a stop on the trails. Deflection is set correctly..
Currently running stock helix with the TP spring at 3-1. Always have had the dust and squeal with any of the setups I have tried. Never did run the 8JP belt.
2600 miles never have blown a belt just trying to get rid of the squeal and some of the dust!
Any suggestions - Is there a easy solution for us non tuned guys?
Thanks
