What is everyone running for belt deflection. I have heard flush in secondary. I have my belt set to it is flush in my secondary but when I go in reverse and hit the throttle. I get the burning belt smell. Only does it in reverse.. I have the Dalton 33/35 helix with Dalton black orange spring set at 6-1 with a barn of parts belt adjuster. I also have the Dalton Black / bronze primary spring with stock weights. Thoughts on this anyone?? Belt just still too loose even though it is flush or is my belt just getting too stretched/ worn out? Belt looks good yet visually.

Check width against a new belt. My sled is a bear to back up on unfrozen ground with my new pilots skis. The rear of the carbide digs in. I smell belt sometimes.

Is there a spec on belt width? What should the minimum be?

as per spec sheet- Sidewinder LTX Le -Belt width/Wear Limit 34.5/32.5mm (1.6/1.28in.)
Thank you I will check it out Im sure its the same for a RTX. I have 2200 miles on the belt. It looks great visually.

I sometimes have the issue when using Snow Trackers carbides on Cat skis.

I have 6 inch shapers and the cheap stock 4 inch yet on stock skis. I will be throwing the tuners in the trash. I thought I would give them a try first
