right now i have super tip weights primary spring opo sec spring silver
and helix marked s (this is ulmer kit) this has been in sled for about 3 years now i tried his set up but clutches were way to hot , my question is if i remove mid washers would this make it pull harder or am i wrong
set up
heel 2-tungsten (takes off great)
mid-4-washers
tip-1-washer
it runs 10,200(this is rx1) should rpms be higher?

thanks

Remove the washer in the tip and you will be spot on.

thanks rider , if i remove from the tip rpm's will go up correct ? i thought i heard that you needed some weight in tip for top end speed , no.. just for giggles if i were to take some out of the middle what would happen? just need to ask because the more i ask the more i learn.
thanks

I don't like that Silver spring on a turbo sled Switch to a Yamaha Black with white stripe on 3-3

Clutches are Hot Belt is slipping.

Ted.

thanks ted i will try that
since i don't know without asking what is that black with white strip going to do , is it to grab the belt better or what.
i want to thank you guys for the help

Take Ted's advice, but do not remove any weight from the arms if you go with the white secondary spring. The white spring is stiffer and will bring rpms up. Test the sled with the white spring in, record your shift and top speed rpms. You may have to add tip weight. Your goal is shift and top rpms at 10400 rmps, where the sled will make the most HP.
