Td max what are you running ?
I have the RTX version of what you have. I have the 1.75" sno-x track. It runs about 80 mph in loose conditions and 88 mph if frozen hard pack. No turbo.
From what I understand, that gearing will take non machined clutches to just shy of 100 mph and about 105 mph if machined.
I think that the issue is that we need to slow down the shift of the helix (big end) with this gearing and add more weight to get the cruise RPM down. I'm hoping that Ulmer comes with a solution so I don't have to go out and buy a bunch of stuff that I'll use once and toss. I'm also just smart enough to be dangerous, but not smart enough to know precisely what to do.
Since you have a Hurricane setup I'd be talking to Dave and see what he thinks.

I do have guages , baught them from Dave Marshall. I'm running 5 psi and on a cold day 6 psi.
As for the secondary I'm not total sure , I've never taken it apart ... Tho I'm assuming it's shifting properly I had it up to 94 it 95 mph with stick gearing , that would be about max for those gears no ? I could rip it apart Tommoro and look tho?
I kno the clutch is shimmed for the 8 dn belt , no issues there , the belt is riding level with the secondary clutch tho I should adjust that so it's up a bit but dunno how much of a diffrence that'll make

I only got a a couple weeks of snow left up here prb so I think for now it's back to stick gearing ; it seemed to work fine , I am up in Manitoba canada , ulcer seems to know what he's going but to ship parts to the us is kinda a pain, so far face has helped me out 10 times more than my dealer - I have his clutch kit , and in theory his set up should work just fine once it's dialed in

Ok tha
Ok ya thanx Im waiting to here back from Dave , I don't mind trying stuff either but I may just wait till next year to play around give people a chance to try it out, I don't mind testing and buying parts , but I got a bunch of parts I used in my ski doo for like 2o mins and was like nope not good enough ahaha and they just sit around collecting dust! I'm sure there's a solution but I dunno if imma be the guy testing out a bunch of stuff at this point in the season....

You know what to do TD. Gear it halfway between mine and yours and you will have very close to 100 mph with a great launch. Will lose a little on your launch and gain on top. Then add more power if needed.

Ya so super late reply - but turns out it was the helix, got a new one for the secondary, sent the clutches to dave to be machined, just waiting for snow to see how it works. I switched back to the stick gearing last year , gonna try it out and see how she goes, if I can get close to 100 mph in most conditions imma leave it that way if not I got a 41 gear I'll slap in and try. Just trying to keep the acceleration and the 1.75 inch track hooks up real good so far- only missing one lug haha
