I've made up my mind on a 144" cobra track. I noticed they make a 146" single ply for the 2.86 drivers. The single ply is about 5 lbs lighter and I bet I could make up the two inches some where. Does the single ply track really make that much of a difference to go through and change out the stock drivers?

I wouldn't go with the single ply. My cousin had the single ply cobra with studs on his Assault and it was stretching silly. He had to constantly re-tighten the tension. He ended up changing the track. I would sacrifice the weight and get the tougher track.

x2, get the 2 ply, fully clipped Cobra. I had it and it on my Apex and it did not stretch.

Should I switch to extrovert drivers then? To my knowledge I've never had a ratcheting problem that so many talk about.

My XTX doesn't ratchet. If you do decide to go with the extroverts you will need to trim your rail tips to provide proper clearance.

It is the Short track nytros that have the ratcheting problem, as stated, the xtx seems to be fine, I've never heard any complaints
