The trails look great. I pm'd you a couple of weeks ago and you were just heading to Cochrane. I will be up in Kirkland Lake next Saturday and wondering if the conditions have improved any. Will travel to Cochrane if need be.

Pat - Can you please give me a breakdown of your trip? Approx. daily mileage & where you stayed? Next Sunday we're supposed to leave from New Liskeard, then to Timmins, Hearst, Cochrane and back to NL. Any idea of trail/snow conditions around these parts? Club sites & general info says there is very little in the way of snow on our proposed route.

If not, I'd be interested in what you did, as an alternative if the trails were THAT good!

Thanks, WB.

we trucked to cochrane but i think you will be ok from kirkland lake monday we stayed in the area at north adventure lodge,we went to iroquois falls and back, about 120 miles, very nice.tuesday was up to hearst,200 miles, stayed at'' companion hotel'',nice motel with hot tubs, sauna and heated garage for $5 extra.wednesday, went to hornepayne,110 miles, was a bit rough in some spots cuz they hadnt groomed for a while but still worth it,stayed at ''centre inn''.the only motel in town.the rest of the trip we came back to cochrane using different local trails in some places, very nice on L123 near opasatika-kapuskasing.the ofsc site showed closed trail in wawa timmins area when i made my reservation 3 weeks ago but now somw are open or limited, check it out and if you have time go see the museum in cochrane and those polar bears, very impressive.watch the weather too, looks milder in the coming weeks
