CODE 46 12' Apex XTX

While riding my sled the other day the check engine and yellow light began flashing and it gave code 46. The light would flash for a few minutes and while it was flashing the sled would lose power and run very rough. If I took my hand off the throttle it would die on me. Then the light would go out and the sled would run fine for a few minutes. When I got to where we were going it died completely and would not restart. The following morning it started and I was able to get it on the trailer and to the dealer. The dealer however has had it for over a week and still hasn't looked at it. I'm tempted to go get it and fix it myself if this is something I can tackle. Could you guys steer me in a direction?

Thanks for the reply but I'm not sure how to translate what you said into solving my problem. Could you or someone else give me some more details?

If this helps any prior to the lights and error codes on my previous ride the sled started dying at stop signs. It would do it about 50% of the time but there wasn't any error codes or lights.

I had a nytro I recently worked on where the female terminals of the plug that plugs into the starter relay were in poor condition. This is where the power comes from to supply the FI circuit. Also check the fuse there and make sure it fits tight.

Had the dealer look at it and they say the stator is bad. $675 to fix.

On the bright side my wife said to me why don't you buy a new one and I'll give you a $1000 for the down payment. She texted it to me so I have proof that really happened. What a keeper.
But I declined I just don't see myself on a sidewinder. But I did ask if I could still have the money. Lol

lol. it took me 2 years to buy a new sled and i had permission as she stole my old 2011 apex xtx. found a nc 2016 and now am making it to my liking.

damn, that sucks on the stator. 11 has 13000 on it and i am starting to think about it failing based on other ppls milage on failure.

Smart man, my Sidewinder sets in the trailer and I ride my Apex XTX.
