Old problem I had was the headlight and taillights would not turn on, I had to hit the highbeam switch a couple times for them to turn on.
No need to hit anything at all they will come on all by themselves in a few minutes. Have seen this with my Rx-1's dont know why they do this but they do.

Bet you they'd fire right up easy with an 03 battery.BlgsRX-1mtn said:LB at that altitude; even the Apexes with 87 octane unleaded don't like to fire with -40 deg fuel.

Hey guys, New to this 4-stroke starting. Didnt get the owner manual when I bought my sled used.
What is the proper way to start these sleds and not foul the plugs?

Full choke, start, slowly work choke back to off.

Exactly how I do it for a cold start have had no problems. When the sled is warm give a little throttle while cranking over with no choke will start right away. If your sled is a EFI just turn the key and crank.

Thanks, guys.
Just wanted to make sure before I start fouling plugs. $15 a piece is not something I want to be going through.
So best is get sled started and then wait for the temp light to stop flashing before riding?

Even a bit longer make sure the sled is warm before riding for sure. Also make sure your track and ski's are not stuck to the ground will save your belt.

Damn Gramps, when did you get ahead of me?
BTW: I keep forgetting to grab the things I'm going to send you when I go up north. But rest assured, I will send you them.
