It has been an exceptionally cold start to the winter, and in most cases we are seeing record low temps hanging around for the past couple of weeks.
These temps combined with questionable fuel is a recipe for disaster. That being said, how are the heavier tunes holding up in these temps?

Going back to early dyno tests it was know the stock fuel pump can't supply enough fuel at sub zero temps boosted up. So go lean on bar gas in the UP at WOT and it's over. It was like -20 up there this morning.

That's not true... Thats why field testing is critical. We are running plenty rich with a stock pump stock regulator on the new TD max 17 which is extremely powerful. I was testing the new max 20 on a stock fuel pump 20psi two weekends in a row. Tons of power but now it's out of fuel...Going back to early dyno tests it was know the stock fuel pump can't supply enough fuel at sub zero temps boosted up. I recommend a fuel pump above 19psi to be safe...

Is there anything to be aware of in regards to the cold weather when running the TD Powertrail? I've been riding in -30C all week. Just short rides like 10- 15 miles. The only issue I had was a blew belt. That's not true... Thats why field testing is critical. But you have upgraded pumps in all your sleds - haha. Mine ran fine all weekend beating the snot out of it. I'm happy with the power, you have to respect it. I'll turn it down when I want the idiot proof tune.

From Dynotech - not tune related, it's the physical capability of the pump.
Also note that while not shown here, the 271hp level taxes the stock fuel pump capacity--there is only 21 lb/hr of bypassed fuel at 60psi fuel pressure and 120+ lb/hr fuel flow (the higher the fuel pressure, the lower the pump output in lb/hr). So practical limitations suggest that 250hp might be max safe in frigid sub-zero winter temps for the stock fuel system

Zéro issues powertrail has been tested and proven for two seasons un every weather conditions. We have finalized our new aggressive maps td max spool 17 and td max spool 20 for extrême cold... We had dips of - 40 Celsius. Is there anything to be aware of in regards to the cold weather when running the TD Powertrail? I've been riding in -30C all week. Just short rides like 10- 15 miles. Running the 240race tune extremely hard for 3000+ feet in -30, only issues are belts.
There's so much bullsh&t on who's tune is better that it is so hard to filter through the BS.
If this FB post is actually true then I think more info is needed before you fault the tune.
The 280 tune is 93+ octane, if you're putting 91 or less in and driving it hard then you're not following the recommendation of the tuner and risk doing damage.

I'm extremely happy with the TD Powertrail. I have the 2.5" turboforce exhaust and installed the Dalton weights. The sled hauls like z freight train and sounds like a BossZéro issues powertrail has been tested and proven for two seasons un every weather conditions. The 280race flash is not designed to be run on 87 octane at wide open throttle condition in any temps

The guy posted it was filled up with fresh 91... Non ethanol.... What I think the tune was advertised as requiring?
And was trail riding... And looks to not be a novice... Just saying
