Hello,

Looks like my wish is going to come true, an Attak is in my very near future. I have not picked it up yet but would like to ask the board if there are any MUST DO add-ons or modifications to this sled before I blunk down the $$$. My biggest concerns are the idler wheels and the hyfax wear....are these still legitamate concerns? Who has the RIGHT fixes for the above issues?

It's a 2007 Attak ER.

My riding is 70% off trail and 30% on trail. It will be replacing my 2006 Fusion 600HO which I long tracked to 136".

Thanks,
Paul (the non oil version) ;)!

Welcome, Sled Solutions. Wise choice on a snowmobile.

Pro....instead of constantly advising members that they need to fill in the profile, wouldn't it be prudent to simply change the process when filling in the criteria when initially signing up for this site and make that specific information box mandatory? If it doesn't get filled in, then one couldn't proceed to the next step and or can't finish their member sign up.

Just a thought.

Jon

Welcome to the site and to yamaha 4 stroke. The best money to spend right now would be to add the polaris 5.35 idler wheels. Then ride it and see what you think needs changed. Once again welcome aboard. Maxdlx

welcome..if you ride off trail 70% like you posted....
you will want to get more traction / flotation and protect your front end with a skidplate and a arm protection...

Welcome to the best site there is!!
Skid plate,Skis, and get ride of the Ripsaw if you ride off trail that much,The Ripsaw will trench in deep snow. I would change skis for sure. This is just my opinion, but from experince,I run a Predator 1.25 track, and Simmons skis because I ride 80% off trail and 20% on trail.

oh yes...ski's are'nt even a question....they have to be replace...I run simmons as well

personally I dont think all the blame (trenching) is on the ripsaw...I say...20%....another 10% is the engagement...10% weight of the machine and 60% is the skid rail profile/chaincase...roll the chaincase and it makes a huge improvement...just ask the mountain guys

Jon, unfortunately the spammers use this to their advantage and would be detrimental to the site if we forced everyone to fill in their location. We just need to rely on people to fill it in themselves. ;)!
