Hello, does anyone know how many pounds of compression an 03 rx1 should have with 10 to 1 pistons at sea level ? Thanks for any help.

I get about 180 at 3000 ft so I would think you should be a little higher than this, Ken.
Im down around 150 on all 4 cylinders so it sounds like I have an issue? Anyone else have same results?

Givemeaboost do you have 10:1 installed?
mr happy usually when you have an issue, compression is different from cylinder to cylinder, yours are the same across.....hmmmm...that's normal... Anyone who knows the correct numbers please chime in.

every gauge will read a little different so I would think if they are all the same you should be ok, do a leak down test to be sure that will tell you if there is a problem.

I've got wiseco 10-1 with one stock head gasket. My gauge may be reading a little high but Blue Shadows must be reading real low. The compression on my engine took a while to come up to where it's at now. I've still got one cylinder thats only 155-160 but thats the one I've had trouble with right from the beginning. These wiseco rings need to be broken in and boost doesn't seem to help get them seated right. The best way to find out that they aren't seating right is too much blowby, the crankcase pressure gets real high and starts blowing oil out anywhere there is a seal. I ended up building my own evac system to relieve some pressure similar to lightning pro's setup, Ken.
I have to admit that I had to fabricate my compression tester hose from an old sparkplug and mate it up to my conventional guage and hose: because the plug holes are so small. I do agree that all being within 5 lbs of each other is a very good sign. I did ride today and had no issues. I wished I had checked the sled when I got it, just as a referance point. Thanks for your replies, I think I will run it as is, and not worry so much. Happy sledding!
