Conditions in Ontario?

I am debating going up to missing link tomorrow. They will be getting rain tonight.

A few pics from Tuesday's ride up there. Trails where AMAZING could not have been any better, and weather was great as well!

If there's internet access at the Morning Mist Resort, I'll post the trail conditions. Their site says they have it, but we'll see.

A trail pipeline is pretty icy and bare, but the club trails are still in great shape.

Cochrane is still in great shape, 20+ cm's again the other night.
(Hope the youtube works, was taken today)
(Can anybody fix up that mess below?)

Put about 200kms on here today. Pretty good goin. Some slushy, icy, few bare spots but easily passable and well well worth comin up. Trails were really hard until midday, temp lites came on few times. One guy had overheated and guess was loosing some antifreeze. Nice place to ride from here at morning mist, also stayed here to go atving last april, handy to the trails.

YEa it is a great area. By the looks of the forecast they should be getting 20cm by the end of next week. With a good solid base like they have with the melt during the day and freezing at night they could last another 2 weeks?!

where did you ride

Just got back from 2 days riding up in the Links....loved it! The trails were pretty crusty and didn't soften up until early afternoon. The A trail is in need of some snow, but again was better in the afternoons.

With 10-15cm of snow forecast for Monday and forecasted highs of 2 degrees, the trails will likely be better next weekend. Looks like another "last ride" of the season for next Saturday. :)

Hey Grim, would you recommend the Morning Mist Resort as a place to stay?

Yes, the cottage was large and clean, well worth the price, especially if you get a couple of others in on it. The owner Todd is very friendly and helpful. I believe he does some grooming and is the Treasurer of the Club. Check out the website
www.MorningMistResort.ca

I had a look at the site, it looked very good clean/modern. That's just what i was hoping to hear. Thanks

Grimm, did u head home today. I see you were here at morning mist also. Which cottage were you in? I didn't mind the A trail, it was fairly smooth and quick in spots, just had to watch for the ice etc. I'm in the end cottage.
