Considering buying a 2017 LTX-LE

I came from am Apex SE with power steering. My biggest fear was losing the power steering on my 2017 LTX-LE (in red). Hated it on the first trip. Second trip allowed me to set the sled up correctly and now I wouldn't even think about my Apex. The QS3 shocks are unmatched. They make all the difference in this sled! It is major!

In other words, buy it. You won't look back!

none of you wish you would have gotten a different model?
NOPE! The shocks are crazy good! You won't believe it until you experience it. The 3 different settings are easy to do on-trail with a gloved hand and the different trail conditions clearly dictate what setting you would want. It's amazingly quick and simple.

Also, if you thought your Apex was quick... not so much after you put your thumb into a SW. You'll walk by anything 800cc or less with ease and it will be effortless. That grin mentioned by another poster in this thread lasts an entire season! At least it did for me for 3,500 trouble free miles last season. Original belt too!

it is a demo with about 500 miles on it I do weigh 250 without gear. I know or I think I know this is the model people say don't transfer well. Is that just with a light rider on the machine. being a le it has the nice shocks on it. Can anyone advise to the good/bad and what model one should buy coming off of and being in love with 2012 apex XTX?

Well did you buy it???

not yet maybe this week. they offered me 4500 for my apex on trade not sure I want to let it go that cheap. I also don't want to let this deal slip by either. I want the shock package.

What year is your Apex? I sold my Apex back in Late April for 4000.00. It was an 07 with close to 6000 miles on it. The dealer I am buying my Sidewinder from was going to take it on trade if I didn't sell it, but I would have gotten at least a grand less on the trade in obviously.

I had a fella who was interested in my Apex, so it worked out for both of us. But I was going to trade it in if that wasn't the case. Thing is, you gotta make the decision quick or loose the 17 Winder. Unless you have somebody interested in buying your Apex from you, trade the thing in so you don't lose the Sidewinder.

It's your money spend it how you want, but their is no way in he-- I would do that deal! Your Apex is at least worth $7000. !

I still think there is a market for the Apex. I know they might not get top dollar now but in no way you should have to give them away.

its a 2012 when I had the SC on it I had 25K invested in it minus the 5k I lost when the SC went down I have 20K invested in what I have now. it pains me to let it go. I do plan to take some of the add ons with me and some things like the track are well worn and it is no longer new like it was when I bought it. but if I was to sell it considering the market and the condition of the sled if I was to sell it I would ask 7000 and take no less then 6000 for it after I take off the few things I want to keep like the afr gauge the riser the hand guards and mirrors the jack seat and stock skis with snow trackers and who ever buys it will get the brand new pair of tuners that came on the SW. I also don't have to sell the trade but I sure don't want the extra payment. I think I need to wait till this fall when the Bike is paid off and I have some time to go thru the APE and put it up for sale and see if I get any bites. I am glad to see no one has said don't buy one.

Ya, after hearing what you just said, maybe hold off a little while, and see if you can get more for the Apex..didn't realize it was a 2012. I agree it's certainly worth more than 4500 for sure!!

I sold my 2012 APE stock with 4700 miles on it for $8k last fall.

$6900 for my 15' with 6,000 miles last spring.

now I am pulling the trade and may just get it and sell my sled outright. 12,500 with mid windshield 5 year warranty and 4th wheel kit seems like a good deal...1100 miles it is used not demo...

do you guys think that is a good price?
