just wondering if its worth it to install the pioneer performance 13 mm sway bar on my 04 rx1. what are the pros and cons of this install, Do you have to change the front springs as well or will it work properly with the stock front shock springs. how hard is it to change the bar and will this change the front end alignment.

It well worth it. It make the sled quite a bit flatter... reduce spring pre-load or follow direction when you get the bar. Biggest down fall is you will get some side to side movement when hammering thru uneven bumps... or bar chatter!!

I found a 13mm on a RX1 for some reason a little to heavy compared to my APEX w/13mm feels lighter for some reason, if I were you I'd go w/12mm on a RX1 and as MrSled said reduce preload to near ZERO and it'll rail in corners with a good set of STUDBOY DEUCE BARS if your running stock skis...
For installation its a breeze if you're somewhat handy, for alignement you don't have to change anything everything stays the same...just make sure that its within SPEC and enjoy

sway bar
thanks for the advice, I will be changing the front end bushings this fall and might do the sway bar at the same time.

I did the 13mm bar and its awesome, I rarely notice the uneven bumps where it could get the sled to shift side to side, in that case its just bumpy as heck and not much is going to cure it or make it better, however those times when you get behind a groomer and railing corners at the speed of sound its worth every penny. I say go 13mm.

12mm or 13mm will make a huge improvement. 13mm is just a little more aggressive.
