Do the skins actually give you coverage over the top edge of the plastic? A couple of times this week I caught the edge. Knees are not liking the viper right now.

I removed the yami ones I had on there (so I had holes)... The skinz ones covered up the holes. Allows for some increased venting..lol

Right on... they suck... I tore them off after the first ride added Nytro pads and put slim jim woodys on and got rid of the nasty darting.

Yamaha knee pads?!
I got the Yamaha pads home and after inspecting them I returned them.
They are cheap looking and did not look like they would be comfortable. IMO they have no place on a machine of this quality/price point.
Looking into the skins, but will log some miles first to see if they are necessary.

Good choice and Very nice. Like that they wrap around a bit to the side. Yamaha ones are acceptable to me but I can see that the fit will not be good to a lot of riders.

I agree the Yamaha pads are a bit small. About how thick are the Skinz pads?

Thanks for the reviews on the knee pads. Bought the Skinz last year and after several rides, and some on very bumpy terrain, the Skinz performed great for standing and sitting. They also help when shifting side to side. Easy to install and easy to remove (Velcro) and clean/wash adjust if needed. Great coverage and right amount of padding. My knees thank you all.

how about the racewerks knee pads, are they any good. they look nice
Muffin Works (site sponsor) had some nice knee pads that they were showing some of us last season. I haven't had the need for pads, but if I did I would be considering theirs in the mix as well.
