Several morning I couldnt start my sled. Have a code light flashing continious untill it starts. Turn the key time and time again and not a thing...engine wont turn at all. After a little while it will crank and start right up and be perfect for the rest of the day.
Im thinking it could be low battery voltage but when it does crank its perfect.
The sled is left out west so I don't have the manual to check the code.
Any ideas?

Did you replace the solonide?

I would start with the starter Relay first they are known to get water in them on the '08's and go bad. I am sure the relay is cheaper the the silenoid. A lot of people just carry a spare on the MTX's

bholmlate is correct it was the relays that usually went bad, when mine went I would take it off in the morning and set it on the heater of the hotel then put it back on. No problems then until the next morning. I did replace one of those and the new one is an updated version of the old one.

I take it this relay is easy to get at and change.
Guess ill pick up a new relay before I go to the cabin this week. The sled is there and there's nothing worse then being all ready for the big ride and no go on the sled.
Thanks for the info.

Fiddlersgreen If I remember correctly It is near the brake disc. They are real easy to get to. Also if I remember correctly when mine went out it through a code for the crank shaft position or something like that kind of an odd code. Good luck and I hope it is as simple as slapping the new one in.

YamaMTX, I went out to pick up the relay today and recognized it and where it where it is on the sled right away. Shouldn't be a hard fix.
So its back to the cabin on Wednesday, put the relay on and the front shocks that I just had rebuilt. Then its on the snow we go for a week of riding!!!!!
Thanks for all the help with this, hope this does the trick.
