I am looking to drain the coolant on my dad's phazer xtx and replace it. Is there an easy way to drain a phazer xtx coolant?

if memory serves, i just pulled the hose off at the tunnel cooler from the rad on the right side of sled. i wasn't concerned with getting it all out though as i was doing stator at the time.

Same here. You'll never get it all out as the tunnel cooler hoses are at the top and there is no drain plug. Maybe jacking the rear might get more out.

I needed to drain and flush the coolant in my 08 Apex with over 21K as it was looking very brownish. Due to this, I wanted to add as much fresh coolant as I could so what I did was use this coolant vacuum tool and liquid vac pump to drain as much coolant as I could. The Liquivac was nice as I was able to insert the hose down into each heat exchanger to extract the coolant and the vacuum pump was then used to drain any remaining coolant and to hold a vacuum to refill. Knowing I wasn't going to get it all out completely, what I did since I had these two tools which made draining it pretty easy was to fill the system with straight water, run sled up to temp, let it cool, and then drain and refill with water. Did this 2-3 times using the cycled water color as my guide and after 3x, refilled with fresh coolant.

i tend to "freshen up" coolant every 5 years or so. i never get it all but do change the majority. i have had to use a vac bleeder to get coolant into a heater core on a newer car. bleeping engineers.
