Hey guys. Just wondering. Today I put Fuel Stabilizer in before storing it for winter, and let it run for a bit. I noticed the gauge that shows coolant temp shown in the pic , reads 105F. Shouldn't it be 195F? If the solid bar is that close to the H? Looks like a 0 to me, not a 9..

A bit of a glare on the pic but it looks like 105 to me.
I think you are fine. If it gets to hot it will alarm and shut down.

Ya, when you zoom in it clearly reads 105 to me. But if the solid bar is that close to the Hot letter shouldnt it read 195, not 105 like it does. I can't remember now if the fan kicked in or not.

I don't go by the bar. It will make you panic for no reason. Just go by temp in the gauge.
I went for my last ride this morning and coolant temp was 195. Bar was high.
It will shut down or alarm if it is to high.

I find the 8 also looks like a zero with my old eyes.

I believe it is 185. At 195 your radiator fan would have been on. Radiator fan kicks in at about 192 +\- 1 degree. Flashing over temp, light starts at about 220. At 232 light comes on solid and power/ fuel is reduced to reduce engin heat!

It appears to be reading a little lower, based on my sleds gage. My sleds would be just about 192 +\- a degree or 2 at that position. Just about the place the fan kicks in on the radiator.
Close to your estimate Stingray?

The probe for the aftermarket gauge is on the tube I put where the radiator was, so the factory gauge is reading off the actual engine and the aftermarket is reading water temp going back in (by design). Most of the time they are close.

I might add I have the radiator deleted so I like the huge aftermarket display for temp as the factory one is hard to see when riding.

Think I'm one of the older members! Buddah might be close, I remember him from 1997-98 on another site talking about the 98 SRX! But of course I could be wrong, I was in my late 40's then, 64 now! Northof50, after a while you will memorize the key areas on the bar on the temp gage. Of course 3,000 miles without even being close to the temp. light coming on once and I'm no longer as worried or concerned about overheating. I'm thinking your probably in a similar place with your Viper LTX DX!
