My wife and I did about 150kms today and what a rush!!!! Over the summer I did the clutching on the cheap with 8dn belt and osp belt adjuster, airbox mod, sandales muffler, and also added sno tracker carbides. My Viper has great noticeable power added and is rail nice on the twisty trails. We got on a few lakes and was hitting 164km/h consistently:sled2: with rpms holding at 9100 I'm extremely happy with the overall performance!!!!! Wouldn't change a thing!(maybe adding the evo tune next year though..lol)

Oh btw some of you may recall me complaining that my wife was kicking my a$$ with her zr 7000! Not anymore she is eating my dust!!haha:tg:

You guys have lakes frozen up there, your around Sudbury aren't ya? I can't wait to get out and test my viper lol.

Yes sir west of Sudbury! The smaller lakes are ok! The bigger lakes are froze over but I don't trust them yet! Trails are in good shape a few more passes with the groomer and they will be prefect!

Are you running without a fuel controller? I have a MBRP trail can. and clutched, was thinking of air box mod next

I'm not using a fuel controller I was going to get the one from hurricane with there map but decided to wait I might get evo flash later

Sounds good Yamamarc. What type of MPG are you seeing with the sleds geared / clutched differently being Viper to ZR?
My wife has put 225 miles on in 2 rides and is seeing 15 on the nose. I have her ZR set up very similar to your Viper. Hasnt blown up yet.

about the same mpg as what you are seeing my viper seems a little harder on fuel(about 5$ more on fill ups) but I like to hammer it over small hill to catch a bit of air and hammer it on straight stretches! She just keep putting at a consistent speed! lol
Did you figure out a good clutch set up for your wifes zr? If so you mind sharing your set up? I may decided to do some mods to her sled in the future! The nice thing about me doing mods to her sled and mine is that I can make sure I always have the faster sled!!!;)

Running a Speed Shop Inc kit in hers. Full torsional secondary and mag weights with spring in the primary. The kit was very reasonable and a starting point. Engagement is a little high for my liking 4000 rpm but the cruise rpm at 60 - 70 mpg is around 8000 rpm. I have some 21/41 gears from a turbo that will be going in when I can play with it awhile. She likes it so much she wont let me touch it.

Went for a rip this morning! Man this sled puts a grin on my face:D We came off the groomed trail on to a abandoned road about a mile long and decided to give her the hammer:sled1:I held it down rpm's went to 8900rpm's then started climbing and climbing right into the rev limiter! Top speed 168km/h(speedo)(road was in perfect shape smooth with hard packed!!):winter:

can't really notice the difference at cruzing speeds(deeper tone) to my wife stock muffler! Has a nice sound when hammering the throttle not annoying loud! My wife loves the sound of my muffler so much that she bought one for her sled! The chaincase adjusting can be reached with the muffler on (big bonus for me!) They have sound clips on utoube

About 600$ cdn (cotc, sandales pipe 8dn belt osp belt adjuster) Your airbox mod free!!!:) big grin on my face priceless!!!:D

Just wanted to call attention to the fact that you can spend that little and get results some have spent 3 times that much.

Another great day we did 200kms! The trails are beautiful, smooth and fast! Sled is running amazing no regrets with this sled would buy another with no hesitation! We came across 2 heards of deer was a nice site!!!! My viper was hooking up hard! When launching skis were facing the ski! What a rush!!! Love it Love it Love it!!!!!!:Rockon::Rockon:
