Question #1 Can I fit a Apex mountain riser on a Apex RTX without having any cable issues?? (how much taller is the mountain over the 07 rtx riser anyway?)
Question #2 Does anyone know the Part # for the Newer yellow handguards and brackets that are on the FX Nytro and 08 and newer Apex RTX?? Cannot seem to be able to find them.
Question #3 Does the outer idler wheel mounting brackets that are on the Monoshock skid fit the ProActive skid that is under the 07 RTX??? (major money saver is they fit!!!)I am looking at adding another set of wheels on the skid for hyfax wear.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

I have a set of proaction wheel mounts if theu would work. Also no your cables won't work with the mountain riser. Maxdlx

You can use a mountain riser in place of the stocker, a while back, this was a very common mod. I also have the mountain riser, had to put it on before even 1km on the sled!, and its 1" higher than the 07's, 2" higher than the 06's I do beleive
Check out the yamaha US site and take a look at the microfiche for the RTX with yellow handguard, thats where youll get your numbers now, and surely more in the future for other parts!
Thirdly, are you talking about the rail mounted bogey wheels or the actual idler wheels? And, for whatever it is, you can find out by comparing part numbers on that microfische I mentioned
Im sure youll find everything your looking for

So even at an inch higher I would need a longer throttle cable??? I have been looking at partsfich finders and all (yamahasportsplaza etc.) but I still cannot seem to find the handguards for the 08 and newer sleds. Also what I am talking about with the idler wheels are the ones that mount on the outside of the rails for added hifax life. The partsfinder for the RTX skid come to over $40.00 just for the bracket!!! But the Monoshock skid brackets are only $7.00 each with only one digit being off in the part#s I might just have to buy one and see if it will work... Thanks for the help fellas!!

If you want a high riser and find yourself bending over try the muffinworks 8" riser. It looks great and works good!

I have considered Muffinworks riser before but what I am looking for is the stock riser look. For some reason I really like the OEM risers on the Apex sleds.

On my 06 RTX I had to extend the cables to fit the apex mountain riser. The dealer ordered mountain cables so it would fit. The Apex mountain riser is 6inches. I measured the other day when taking off my handlebars on my apex mountain. Also if you want a higher oem style look try going with the apex mountain riser that is about 2" higher then the RTX + Apex mountain bars which are also about 2" higher then RTX bars. Hope this helps.
