I have about 2700 km on my o8 ltx. I am using the xcel wheels on mine since I put these sliders on. They are just regular white sliders. Right now I have 5/8" thickness at the thinnest point. Am I good till 7/16"?
Also I am thinking about adding some marginal snow wheels to help it even more. The most wear I am getting is at the rubber blocks (both front ones and middle ones). Would it be ok to remove the blocks and put the additional wheels there?

i believe 1/4 inch and you woud be touching rails,i put duponts on my 06 gt 136 and have hardly no wear after 4000 kms , definitely worth the extra money
Marginal snow wheels bolt on just behind them rubber blocks so no need to remove them.

thanks for the pic. I'd like to put an extra set of large wheels at the rear as well. In researching I see some are using a skidoo 2 bolt idler support and wheels.Marginal snow wheels bolt on just behind them rubber blocks so no need to remove them.

Here is RockerDan's post of the Doo/Poo wheel combo.

I went with Pioneer Perf. drop wheel kit. Works the same as the Poo wheels and I can still keep my Yamaha wheels.

My skid is a 08 mono skid.Looks good. What mounts and wheel did you use?
I went with the 5mm larger polaris wheels (red).
And had Travis send me 2 used wheel mounts for back red outer wheels.
Small frt wheels are easy to find as pair kit.

I was burning through sliders on my 06 Apex every 500 to 1200 kms depending on conditions. Mid last year I installed Dupont's and so far so good. Much improved and hardly looks like they wore for the 500kms I ran them. I also have the front wheels and it really didn't do much, also have ice scratchers. It's just a poor design from what I am told, pretty common with the Apex

Biggest thing is get rid of the 130mm stock wheels and go with the 135mm (huge improvement)I was burning through sliders on my 06 Apex every 500 to 1200 kms depending on conditions. I think I may have them on there now. Is there an X design on the wheel? I will check them with a caliper, I bought it used a few years agoBiggest thing is get rid of the 130mm stock wheels and go with the 135mm (huge improvement)

Most guys don't realize the stock 130 wheels really with a little wear only measure about 128mm. And leave lotta friction all the time on hyfax.
