Has anyone tried just changing the stock plugs for these ? If so, did it change anything ? I know lots of you have changed to these but most have done so with other mods . Do they make a difference to a stock RX-1? Thanks.
I just put the 9ek in but the damn snow melted so haven't had any rides since. Only mods are holtzman springs and heel clickers. Will post after a few rides if any thing changed(assuming winter returns) :cry:

Supertuner..thanks for the reply. I read your dyno results regarding the filters , holtzman springs, and plugs you posted a while ago, great detail to share. Just wondering if the plugs will affect a stock engine? If I remember correctly you tried the plugs after you changed jets, filers, and springs. If you feel they improve performance, can you explain how this happens? PS- do you recommend 9 or 10 EK? Thanks again.

He recommends the 10's, here's his reply: It is commonly know within the performance industry that the coldest sparkplug that the ignition will fire will produce the most horsepower when it is properly jetted.

These sparkplugs provide a stronger "flame front" thereby burning the charge in the combustion chamber more thoroughly. Even with the stock airbox this will occur. You may also want to jet the main jet richer. I have made better power on RX1's by just going 1 or 2 sizes richer on the main jet. That coupled with the increased spark energy wil produce more heat...heat makes power and viola...more output!
