cracked oil tank

Found a small crack on oil tank on '06 Apex. I've heard the RX-1 oil tank fits & is stronger. Is either of these statements true?

Yes the RX, vector , rage tanks will fit the apex. Just have your tank welded. I welded the 1 on the apex I had. The tanks are thin aluminum, have a welder with a tig weld the tank and you won't have to worry about it.
