I hada s single keel mountain ski set on my Apex LTX with Snowtrackers. Transformed the sled. Worried the Tuner 3s will gather snow underneath and push like the old BRP Precision skis did. Also worried I won't get the float on powdery lakes with these skinny #*$&@ Tuners. I would like to find a ski that is extra wide but does not have the keel depth of the mountain ski. Any ideas?

Everyone raves about the SLP Mohawk for a cross over ski. They are big and have a deep keel but it is a rocker design that supposedly keeps the steering light. I just got a set for my nytro XTX project but that sled is still in pieces right now.

also have a set....they are trail width at trail level...but up top they are wider so supposedly lifts out of the pow....best of both worlds...lighter steering in most all terrain.

make sure you DONT get the mounts for cat 384? as they dont fit...they are sending me 397 mounts now..about the only negative I can find is if in deep wet heavy snow they can then steer heavier...

curve xs does what you want. floats like the mtx ski but has a shallower keel than the mtx skis. i have run both and prefer the curves most times. right now they are on gf sled to keep her happy and riding, so i am rocking the mtx skis.

I know this might sound superficial..but I think the wide curved are ugly
