The leading edge has arrived and unlike dual runners:
- No increase in steering effort
- No increase in drag or running resistance
- No decrease in cornering performance
- The ability to run any bar you see fit
The Leading Edge is available ONLY for Curve XS skis, offering outstanding straight line characteristics on hard packed or icy trails and is completely transparent until conditions require.
Patents currently pending. Approximate retail $79.99. Available November 2009

The "leading edge" is designed for extreme hard pack rock hard conditions when the carbide and runner is the only thing working.
The "leading edge" prepares the surface ahead of the runner and carbides, so the runner doesn't fall into an already existing groove in a rock hard snow and ice condition.
In normal snow conditions the ski works perfectly. The "leading edge" is the missing link to provide exceptional steering in a rock hard grooved trail. Meaning no darting in any condition.
Grooved rock hard conditions are not the norm, however the "leading edge" provides a solution for this condition. Pretty cool eh?

We experienced the conditions Hondo is talking about in late season testing last year in MI. The Curve Industries "Leading Edge" definately tamed down the "darty"/"twitchy" front end feel in those hard, icey conditions. Then as soon as you get into workable snow conditions the XS skis can take over and do their job.

Right on fellas and a perfect explanation to boot!
It should be noted that one persons definition of 'darting' is another persons definition of 'perfect' so we DO NOT recommend this product for every owner. Certain customers will find the Leading Edge to be a tremendous upgrade and others could easily do without it. Ride our product, set up your machine, call us for some help and if all else fails, we offer the Leading Edge.
During the demo ride that Yamaha1 spoke about, we actually had a few customers pull up on their FX Nytro and twin spar cats and take out our Nytro SE and twin spar cat F6. When they came back, the first thing out of their mouth was, "Make our machines handle exactly like those!" The conditions were super hard packed and we had some leading edges bolted on ;-)
