Has anyone had a problem getting the ski loop to mate up to the ski tip? I can't even beat mine together. It's like the round hole square peg senerio.

Problem solved. I used a longer bolt and nut and drew them together.

I just assembled a set last week. Proved impossible until I found out why. If you look closely, one side has a nice radius whereas the other is so so. The radius part obviously comes from the mold itself and the other side has had some minor de-burring done. If yours is like mine was you will see that they did a poor job in spots. You can either take a sharp knife or a dremel tool and small stone to finish the job and then it should go in easily.
BTW, I noticed in at least one of the reviews I read that the loops are not very good for pulling on, rather wide and hard to get a good grip on them. I used a small hand held router with 1/4" roundover bit and did both sides of each loop, where the original radius may have been 1/8". It allows for a much better grip for the hand and once done, no one will ever notice.
