Cut the Primary Or Speed Sheave

I HAVE A HAUCK SPEED SHEAVE FOR SALE IF ANY ONE IS INTERESTED WITH 150 MILES ON IT. $75 SHIPPED.

"GRADER" WHAT KIND OF MOTOR TENSION DID YOU INSTALL TO PREVENT THE MOTOR FORM MOVING??? ANY PICS??

go to the hardware store and pick up a turnbuckle about 12 to 14 inches long. attach closed end to motor above mount on left front. make spacer and use shouldered bolt the size of hole. the hook end goes on frame by toolbox hope this helps. ;)!

cluthing

yes these moter move lots as soon as you hook them up and start moveing the hp in to the track bouth of ours moved about 4-6 mm back as others have reported back to me as well as they checked theres as well with the same readings. these moters move more than an srx can. so check your c to c. we to thout that they were mounted so there would be no need to even check them #$%&* wrong :o

hauck speed sheeve is the one to use

The speed sheeve works, but you need to do a couple of things, like any add on,you need att. in other areas. I used haucks speed sheeve, after i had a maximum performance speed sheeve shred a well broke in belt,in very good shape, once i got the hauck sheeve set up,awsome, but it did give fits at first, cause i dident change weights and helix settings. ;)!

heres the best set up stand it vertically on the table at your next yard sale .most people that have used them including myself get fed up blowing belts and ripping out speedo cables.cut some off your primary and overdrive your secondary and your good to go. if you really want to try it move your center to center back 150 to 180 thou. you will still have to machine or cut helix to allow overdrive.

clutch

you cut were the two haves touch in the center of the primary clutch. uses for the over drive sheves should include frisbie. heat sink. as they get hotter than a T R A and have to be set up with to mutch belt deflection to work properly. :ORC

MNMSNOWBEAST, glad you were able to get your Hauck speed sheave to work, mine eats belts and that's with helix, weights, springs, and a lot of prayers. :D Next time I need clutch work I think I'll put in a 4 post.

clutching

a four post. yep got one and it works good i run it some times. and smooth with it i can run 1000 rpm,s lower at trail speeds the only problem that i have had is the belt runs to the top and breaks. probaly if i run a dayco it would work as i have found that the dayco,s are a little longer. good hole shots 1000 rpm lower at cruseing and pulls to 10500 when you hit the gas. good clutch

Muskrat,i must of hit it just right, but when i first threw it on,i was disapointed to say the least, but i got it figured out,now i had a team to boot, and it may of made things a little easier,i dont know for sure.

hey beast hows it going..trevor from washburn here, sounds like we have a lot of the same experience with that whole deal, like i posted before just installing the sheave i lost 800rpm but with a little work my sled rocks, the team springs are cheap and easy to get,T.W.Williards in caribou let me try a bunch before i actually bought one for mydself so that really helped, after i made myself a tool to change the spring on the team it was even easier,i run my sheave and team setup for 400 miles(2010 miles in canada in 7 days) on one belt and won a radar run at the end of the year with that same setup just added studs to track so i can say it works for sure .....talk to you later ...trevor

team

Hey trevor, long time ,no hear, hows everything going,i am out of work recovering from an operation, hey did you get any rideable snow last fri.? I am still going to use a team secondary, but its because it comes on the sled,i snow checked a new fusion, its in i just have not picked it up yet,i wanted to try something else, was kinda tired of all the work to make the rx1 handle and ride good,i will miss the smooth 4 though and the gas milage, and reliable 4 stroke, hey trevor keep posted of the snow will you,i am still a snomo friend, yours truly snowbeast..... Pete ;)! ;)!
