Anyone know the lenght of the Dalton black/bronze primary spring? Shorter than the 110 mm stock spring?

I believe its shorter but dont quote me. I have been using this spring for a while now and even switched over to Apex clutch and still using it. But now with Apex clutch and TD glide washers, engagement at 3500 and a little abrupt. Going to try without washers and see how that works.Anyone know the lenght of the Dalton black/bronze primary spring? Shorter than the 110 mm stock spring?

The dalton black/bronze definitely engages higher mine is about 3500-3600. Stock spring was about 2900-3000. Lengths are fairly close from what I recall

My bronze is 105 mm long after some use. So yes, it's shorter than a stock spring, but also stiffer as you can see from my measurements. Why does everyone get hung up on spring length?

Exactly!! Spring preload, rate, and total force are all the clutch really cares about, free length isn’t something that needs to be considered at all.

Most all spring will wear a bit on the outside of the coils. Short, long, it does not matter.

Anybody tried the Dalton Black/Red? Thinking it might be a little better for trail than the Black/Bronze.
